Delete Your Account
Delete your Maratha Manch account and personal data in a few steps, or ask us to do it for you if you cannot sign in.
This page explains how to permanently delete your Maratha Manch account and the personal data linked to it. It applies to every Maratha Manch account, whether you registered on the website (maratha-manch.com) or in the Maratha Manch Android app. Both use the same account, so deleting it in one place deletes it everywhere.
Before you delete
Deletion takes effect immediately and cannot be undone. There is no waiting period and no way to restore the account, your profile, photos, video introduction, interests, or conversations afterwards. You will be signed out, and deleting your account ends access to any active membership. See the Refund & Cancellation Policy for how payments are handled. If you only want a break, you can hide or deactivate your profile from Settings instead.
Delete your account on the website
- Sign in at maratha-manch.com and open Settings from the menu or your account menu.
- Scroll to the Delete account section at the bottom of the page and select Delete my account.
- Enter your password to confirm. If you signed up with Google and never set a password, leave the password field blank.
- Select Yes, delete my account. Your account is deleted and you are signed out.
Delete your account in the Android app
- Open the Profile tab and tap Settings.
- Under Danger zone, tap Delete account. This opens Privacy & consents.
- Tap Delete account, enter your password, and confirm. Your account is deleted and you are signed out.
- If you signed up with Google and never set a password, use the website steps above, or contact us as described below.
If you cannot sign in
If you cannot access your account, you can still ask us to delete it. Email [email protected] from the email address registered to your account with the subject "Account deletion request", and include your full name and the mobile number registered to the account. If you no longer have access to that email address, include the registered mobile number and we will contact you on it. You can also call our Grievance Officer, Mr. Sachin Talke, on +91 98509 51939 (Monday to Friday, 10:00–18:00 IST).
To protect you, we delete an account only after confirming that the request comes from the account holder, and we may ask you for details that show you own it. Never send your password or one-time codes. Once the account is deleted we will confirm this to you on the email address or mobile number you contacted us from.
What we delete
When your account is deleted we permanently remove:
- your account and sign-in details, including your email address, mobile number, password, and active sessions;
- your profile, including personal, family, education, career, lifestyle, horoscope, contact, and partner-preference details;
- your photos, including every resized copy, and your video introduction, including its preview image;
- your verification records and your listing in search;
- interests, shortlists, blocks, photo requests, and contact reveals involving you, your conversations and the messages in them, and your notifications; and
- your privacy and consent choices, and any personal-data export files you generated.
Your profile disappears from search and from other members' view immediately. Your photos, video, and export files are then removed from our file storage by an automatic background process shortly afterwards.
What we keep, and why
We keep a limited set of records after deletion, only for the purposes below:
- Payment and billing records, such as orders, invoices, subscription history, coupon use, and referral or commission entries, are kept for as long as required by applicable tax and accounting law.
- Safety and support records, such as reports made by or about you and feedback or grievance requests you submitted, are kept to protect members, handle disputes, and meet legal obligations, including preserving evidence for law-enforcement authorities.
- A record that the account was deleted, including the email address it used, is kept in our security audit log so we can demonstrate that the request was fulfilled and prevent abuse.
- Our database backups can contain a copy of your data until they are replaced on their normal rotation, which takes up to about three months. Backups are used only to restore the service after a failure and are never used to reactivate a deleted account.
